2017 Annual Meeting

April 6-8, 2017


The conference, which takes place 6-8 April 2017 (followed by the CARA meeting on 9 April), features three plenary speakers and over fifty concurrent sessions, including thematic threads such as 'The Medieval Mediterranean,' 'Manuscript Studies,' 'Old English Studies' and many others. Roundtable discussions focus on topics such as K-12 education, diversity in the medieval studies classroom, compatible careers, and scholarly publication in the age of Open Access. Conference location is the St. George Campus of the University of Toronto, with selected parts of the program held at the Art Gallery of Ontario and the closing plenary at the Aga Khan Museum. Registration will begin on 6 February 2017 but you are encouraged to make hotel bookings as soon as possible (information on the conference website).

REGISTRATION: Online registration will close 27 March. On-site registration will be available at the registration desk.  Registering at the conference will be subject a late fee.  We cannot provide refunds after 27 March.

Note that student non-members will be offered a free one-year introductory membership to the Academy - stop by the conference registration desk for details. 

On-site registration will be available at the registration desk at the Centre for Medieval Studies, University of Toronto, 125 Queen’s Park, 3rd floor, and will be subject to a higher rate imposed for late registration. A late registration surcharge goes into effect as of 13 March.  No refunds will be granted after 28 March.

K-12 Teachers                        No Charge

The registration fee includes all receptions, continental breakfasts and coffee breaks.  The discounted spouse/companion fee is for those accompanying a participant who wish to attend social events, but not lectures and sessions.
