John Nicholas Brown Prize Submission Instructions

The next Brown Prize will be awarded at the Academy's next annual meeting.

A first book or monograph's eligibility is determined by the publication date. Books are eligible to be submitted in the third year after the publication date that appears in the book. For example, books bearing a publication date of 2000 were submitted in 2003 for the prize given in 2004. The author must be a resident of North America. Three copies of the book should be sent to the Academy office, accompanied by three copies of reviews that have appeared and a statement by the author that it is his or her first book in the medieval field.

Submissions must reach the Academy's office no later than 15 October.
