The Medieval Academy solicits general gifts of
two kinds: gifts to the endowment fund and gifts to the travel
fund. In addition, contributions may be made to establish named
dissertation grants.
Gifts to the Endowment Fund These gifts
are invested and the income generated by the fund supports all
academy programs. Contributions in any amount are welcome. Gifts
of stock and bequests are ways in which medievalists can help
assure the growth of medieval studies in the twenty-first century
while benefiting from significant tax savings. For further information

Gifts to the Travel Fund These gifts support
the travel grants program which assists academy members who are
dependent and currently unaffiliated scholars to travel to conferences
at which they are giving scholarly papers on medieval topics.
Named Dissertation Grants Those wishing
to honor former colleagues, teachers and friends while also supporting
graduate students should consider endowing a dissertation grant
in the name of a retired or deceased medievalist. For information

Tax Status of Gifts The Medieval Academy
is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization. All gifts to the Academy
are tax deductible in compliance with internal revenue service
regulations. The Academy's tax identification number is 04-2326290.
Donors receive a letter acknowledging their gifts and certifying
that the Academy has not provided any goods or services to the
donor in consideration of the contribution.
